Who We Are
Our History
Building Successful Bridges was founded in 2016 by a group of 10 University of Michigan College students their freshman year during the Fall Semester "We came to campus and realized that we were not just behind academically, but also in - Untaught pre-career skills. "We did not know the importance of networking and or having a an elvator pitch to help us. We realized that we all had a calling in our lives and wanted to reach back to the community we just left from and continue to bring up the next."
Mission
Our mission is to empower underrepresented and underserved high school students to
unlock their true potential through exposure, guidance, and empathetic support from
individuals that have shared identities.
Vision
At Building Successful Bridges, our vision is to create a world where every individual has the opportunity to realize their full potential and live a life aligned with their purpose and passion. We understand that in today's complex and ever-changing economy, many individuals face challenges and barriers that prevent them from achieving their goals and living their ideal lives. This lack of resources and support can lead to frustration and settling for less than what they truly deserve. By fostering a supportive community and providing access to essential resources, we aim to empower individuals to overcome obstacles, realize their aspirations, and live fulfilling lives. Together, we can build bridges to a brighter future for all.
